UNAMA is the Best Private University in North Brazil, according to Guia do Estudante
Recife, November 01, 2016, Ser Educacional (BM&FBOVESPA SEER3, Bloomberg SEER3:BZ e Reuters SEER3.SA), one of the largest private education groups in Brazil and leader in the Northeast and North regions announces that Universidade da Amazônia — UNAMA, was granted the Melhores Universidades 2016 prize, as the best private university in the North Region of Brazil by Guia do Estudante, 2016 edition.
Guia do Estudante has been published by Editora Abril for 26 years. The publication evaluates Brazilian undergraduate courses and universities according to one of the most respected evaluation methodologies of higher education in Brazil.
In the words of Jânyo Diniz, President of the Ser Educational Group, “it is an another important acknowledgment of the academic quality of UNAMA and Ser Educacional as a whole. Our investments in teaching quality, based on the implementation of the collegial test, new syllabus matrix, investment and reformulation of projects in stricto senso (Masters and Doctorate) and renewal of UNAMA campi, started in 2014. is still in progress and the ranking is a positive indicator of the impact created by those improvements.”
The Melhores Universidades prize has been granted for the last 12 years and the evaluation also identifies the University of the Year (public and private) and the Best Institutions (outstanding institutions in 8 knowledge areas). The nominations include institutions of higher learning with at least five courses under evaluation. In 2016, nominations included 595 institutions from all over Brazil.
