Sustainability

Sustainability Report

Social responsibility is a fundamental pillar in Ser Educacional’s culture, permeating its values and the Company’s routine. The Company promotes sustainability activities in the areas of culture, sport and social and environmental actions through its institutions and coordinated by Instituto Ser Educacional, which provides thousands of social services in the aforementioned areas. These initiatives not only strengthen students’ bonds with their communities, but also establish a positive connection between the Institution, students, the locations served and governments.

Winning the Catalyst Award 2023 in the category “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging” by the Novas Histórias (New Stories) project, which offers distance learning scholarships to mothers in prison, highlighted Ser Educacional’s commitment to sustainability actions, going beyond the traditional provision of quality education.

Since 2019, the Company has published its annual report in ESG format.

Transparency and Equal Pay Report between Women and Men

The creation of the Salary Transparency and Remuneration Criteria Report, through Law No. 14,611, represents an important milestone in the fight for gender equality in Brazil. At the forefront of gender and racial equality, Ser Educacional supports this cause, creating an increasingly fair environment and an ideal society for everyone.

As education specialists, we adopt practices that respect and expand legal guarantees for these groups, guiding members, suppliers and encouraging actions that promote their causes. The report proves the adherence of these ideals to concrete results, with the following highlights:

• In 80% of our companies with published reports, we have a larger population of women than men.

• In 60% of companies with published reports, we have a population that declares itself black to be greater than the non-black population.

• The median contractual salary (unpaid) for women is equivalent to or higher than that of men in 77% of companies with published reports and, considering the average salary (including discounts and additions), the result was 70%.

We believe in respecting differences and supporting diversity, both inside and outside our companies. It is our commitment to guarantee a welcoming, safe and healthy environment for everyone, without any discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, race or any type of disability.

The report considered the basis of information provided on e-social, of members with a CLT contract, in the year 2022 and companies with more than 100 employees and was prepared in accordance with Law No. 14,611, of July 4, 2023, MTE Ordinance No. 3,714 and Decree No. 11,795/2023.
