Recife‘s Joaquim Nabuco accredited as a College
The accreditation will grant autonomy to expand the brand in the city
Recife, July 26, 2017, Ser Educacional (BM&FBOVESPA SEER3, Bloomberg SEER3:BZ and Reuters SEER3.SA), one of the largest private education groups in Brazil and the leader in the Northeast and North regions, announces that the Ministry of Education (MEC) published on today’s Diário Oficial da União the accreditation of Joaquim Nabuco, in Recife, Pernambuco state, as a College.
According to Jânyo Diniz, CEO of Grupo Ser Educacional, “This is a relevant accrediting which will allows us to expand the portfolio of courses offered by the now called UNINABUCO and help boost the Institution‘s presence in Recife’s city center”.
UNINABUCO will allow us to explore a new operational model in Recife, on an experimental basis, which consists of the opening of smaller units, spread through specific neighborhoods of the city, with high population density, with a portfolio of courses targeting demand identified by region, offering on-campus and distance learning education through partnerships with the other brands of the Group.”
The Accreditation protocol of the UNINABUCO College was filed on e-MEC on March 25, 2015, and it was approved by Resolution 244/2017 of the Higher Education Chamber (CES), of the National Education Council (CNE), on the session of July 3, 2017. The Accreditation Ordinance no. 893 was published on Diário Oficial da União by the MEC on July 26, 2017.
